
Canadian Affairs Department
We are an International Union and in order to
serve all of our members effectively we rely on
our Canadian Office to support our Canadian
membership. It is important to know that in
Canada we not only represent union Sheet Metal
Workers but we also have a significant
membership of union Roofers.
By providing information and leadership, the
Canadian Office acts as the point of contact for
Canadian members in their dealings with the
Sheet Metal Workers’ International Association.
In addition the Canadian Office ensures that any
directive from International Headquarters is
carried out effectively throughout the Canadian
local unions.
The SMWIA Director of Canadian Affairs oversees
24 of our affiliated local unions representing
highly-skilled sheet metal workers and roofers
across Canada.
