Raymond Balestrucci began his sheet metal career in Philadelphia when he was only 15 years old. This year he has the distinguished title as the first and only Local 19 member to reach an amazing 70th year anniversary.

He retired in June 1986 and has continued to be involved with the union ever since, spending a lot of his time being busy with the Local 19 retirees club.

According to Local 19 Business Manager Joe Sellers, "Ray is the epitome of a great union person. I can't think of anyone who is more grateful to have been a part of our union than Ray has been since 1939."

Brother Balestrucci remarked: “With all our wonderful progress, we suffered many losses of excellent brothers who we will never forget for making highways from rough roads and conditions. Success only happens when you’re following in your brothers footsteps.”

Congratulations Ray on your long career and all the best of luck to you in your future.
