A proposed law (A.B. 2369) was sent to the governor which would increase existing penalties for prevailing wage violations.  Contractors would be penalized for failing to keep personnel records if that contractor had knowledge of a subcontractor's violation of the law. 

The amount of the penalty would be equal to $100 for each calendar day plus 10 percent interest.
